Drew Barrymore is giving some more insight into the type of man she’d like to find for herself.

The actress welcomed co-host Ross Mathews and comedian Chelsea Handler to the Drew’s News desk on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, where she revealed that athletic men aren’t usually attracted to her.

“I feel like this is different for you, Chelsea, because you’re very strong, you work out, you’re really healthy, you’re a major skier,” Barrymore began. “And I feel like athletic men look at me and they’re like, ‘Uh-uh. I know you’re not going to keep up with me. I know your type. You’re a sloth and I’m a go-getter.’”

“And I’m like, ‘Is it that obvious?’” she added. “I can see them looking at me and looking right through me.”

Mathews, who has been Barrymore’s right-hand man since the start of her talk show, asked his friend if she’s interested in “fellow sloths” or if she’d prefer to date an “athletic mountain man.”

“That is a good question,” Barrymore told him. “I’m not attracted to lazy, but I do love if somebody can be cozy and let their guard down and relax and have some downtime.”

Barrymore has been dropping hints about the type of guy she’d like to date over the years, all starting with a November 2023 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show when she described her ideal man to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner, who offered to play matchmaker.

At the time, Barrymore — who has been single since her 2016 divorce with Will Kopelman — said she was looking for someone who was “kind consistently.” She wasn’t as focused on a physical type as it was all up to “personality.” She was also adamant that anyone she dates must have a job because “if you don’t work, we don’t work.”

Those seem like some fair asks!
