There’s only one person who comes to mind when Drew Barrymore is about to film an intimate scene with Adam Sandler: his wife, Jackie Sandler.

On this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the actress-turned-talk show host talked to Connie Britton about filming love scenes with people they are close friends with outside of work.

The conversation started when Barrymore asked Britton what it was like to play Kyle Chandler‘s wife on Friday Night Lights, calling him “the dreamiest guy ever.”

“If you knew him in real life, he’s just a big dork. But I love him to death,” Britton said.

“We’re such good friends and we play those characters together but because there was so much complete trust between us, it’s like we could do anything,” she continued. “We could take any risk. We could do anything we wanted because we trusted each other so much.”

When Barrymore called them the “sexiest couple,” Britton cringed at the idea of filming sex scenes with Chandler — which was something Barrymore could relate to.

“It’s weird that filming intimacy or [pretending], it’s like sometimes your relationship is so different than,” Barrymore said. “Adam Sandler? I think of Jackie Sandler first!”

Britton then asked, “Doesn’t it make you feel safer in that moment? Because it’s like, ‘Oh! We’re good. We can do this because we’re good.’”

Barrymore has starred in three different rom-coms with Sandler, including The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates, and Blended. She recently teased that a fourth movie could be coming in the near future.

“We talk about it all the time,” Barrymore told her Drew’s News co-host Ross Mathews and fellow actress Kate Hudson on the March 3 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. “And I know that we are going to do it. And yes, 100% yes.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
