Drew Barrymore took her up-close-and-personal interview style to a whole new level on this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.

During a cooking segment with Selma Blair, Barrymore made the actress sniff her armpit. It all started when Drew Barrymore Show regular Valerie Bertinelli professed her love for “men’s T-shirts.”

“Preferably with a little bit of a smelly pit,” Barrymore added. “I want to smell their pheromones.”

Blair, for her part, said she had the perfect shirt for Barrymore.

“I took one off yesterday, I’m not a boy, but I was like, ‘Oh, dear. That smells very human,'” the actress revealed, to which Barrymore replied, “Give it to me. I’ll smell it. I’ll happily smell it.”

Bertinelli speculated that Barrymore likes smelly shirts because she doesn’t smell, prompting the 50 First Dates star to sniff her armpit for proof. She then opened up her jacket so Blair could get a whiff, too.

“Nothing! Nothing,” Blair said of Barrymore’s scent, before bashfully adding, “I can’t believe I did that on air.”

When Blair wasn’t paying attention, Barrymore leaned in to sniff her armpit.

“Oh, no. You will not be happy!” Blair warned. However, Barrymore insisted that she smelled “perfect” and “great.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard this from Barrymore. During a March 2024 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the star explained, “The word boyfriend is so cute, and wearing the boyfriend T-shirt is the best. If it has the funk on it, it’s even more yummy. I’ve slept with them and nuzzled into them. I love this.”

And in a May 2023 episode, Barrymore admitted that she loves a dirty T-shirt.

“I don’t want unhygienic, but I’m not sure that I’m also drawn to the manscaper. There’s a happy middle,” she said, before joking, “I’ll get right in that pit and [inhales deeply].”
