Hot flashes wait for no one — not even for Drew Barrymore to finish interviewing Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. During today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the iconic actress experienced her first “perimenopause hot flash” on national television.

Things began to heat up as Barrymore decided that her chair was placed too far away from the Murder Mystery 2 stars, prompting her to move right up to Aniston’s seat.

“This is what I do late at night. I just move furniture,” she said as she scooted the bulky chair closer to her Hollywood pals, to which Aniston replied, “So do I! I love moving furniture. I almost rearranged the dressing room.”

When Barrymore finally sat back down, she pointed out how hot it was in the studio before stripping off her grey blazer.

“I think I’m having one of my first perimenopause hot flashes,” she admitted, while Aniston attempted to help her reposition her mic. “For the first time, I think I’m having my first hot flash.”

While the Friends actress — who joked that she feels “so honored” to experience the moment — continued comforting the talk show host, Barrymore apologized, adding, “Do you feel this?” as Aniston put her hand to her chest.

“Oh, I do. Internal heat,” she said to which Barrymore guessed, “Or maybe I’m just that excited.”

Meanwhile, Sandler — who Barrymore oftentimes refers to as her cinematic soulmate — reached over and grabbed her hand. He said, “It’s a warm hand. Yeah, you got a hot hand,” before she quipped, “That’s good because it was cold, that would be worrisome.”

Barrymore added, “Well, I’m so glad I have this moment documented.”

Sandler went on to poke fun at his 50 First Dates costar — who continued to fan herself off —  when he told her, “It’s supposed to come with a very heavy anger, mood swing. Maybe you can bring that out soon, too.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
