Even Drew Barrymore couldn’t get early access to the final season of Yellowstone.

The beloved host welcomed actor Cole Hauser, who plays Rip in the Taylor Sheridan series, to The Drew Barrymore Show this morning, where she revealed that her show and Yellowstone both share the same parent company: CBS.

“Just so you know, we’re at the same parent company and I could not get a screener,” Barrymore said, referring to early access to episodes of the hit Western’s final season. “They have this thing on lockdown. It’s like Fort Knox. You cannot get in there. We couldn’t even get a clip!”

Hauser noted that the crew “couldn’t even see the scripts” when they were filming.

After two whole years, Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 is finally premiering on Paramount Network this Sunday, Nov. 10. However, the show will be missing one key player as Kevin Costner revealed earlier this year that he would not be returning as Dutton family patriarch, John Dutton.

While it remains unclear exactly how Sheridan decided to write Costner off the show, Hauser — who couldn’t say much about the new season — seemingly hinted on The Drew Barrymore Show that John Dutton is going to die.

“This is what I’m gonna give you: Taylor Sheridan wrote a phenomenal season in which every character has an opportunity to really go through the loss, in my opinion, of one of the great characters on television, but also a wonderful person, John Dutton,” he said.

“What’s wonderful about [Sheridan’s] writings is that you never really know while you’re watching until the end what is going to happen,” Hauser continued. “So, on that note, for me as an audience, I like to go and watch something where I’m not spoon-fed. You will not be spoon-fed this year.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
