NextImg:Drew Barrymore claps back at Hugh Grant’s ‘horrendous’ singing diss

Drew Barrymore playfully clapped back at Hugh Grant after he dissed her “horrendous” singing voice.

The talk show host posted a video dedicated to the British actor in which she sang “Way Back Into Love,” a duet from their 2007 film, “Music and Lyrics.”

“Oh, Hugh-bert, Hubert, that’s for you,” Barrymore said after singing a few lines.

“#SingForHughGrant JOIN ME,” she captioned the Instagram post Thursday.

The “Notting Hill” star made headlines Monday when he called out the actress for her lack of singing ability while filming their romantic comedy.

“Drew Barrymore was in that film with me, and I don’t think she’d mind me saying her singing is just horrendous,” he told Wired. “I’ve heard dogs bark better than she sings.”

Later in the interview, Grant, 62, complimented Barrymore, 48, by saying once they “they tuned her up,” the “Never Been Kissed” star “sounded way better than me because she’s got heart and voice and rock ‘n’ roll.”

The “Love Actually” star’s comments came just hours after he faced backlash over his “rude” behavior toward Ashley Graham on the 2023 Oscars red carpet.

TMZ asked Graham, 35, Monday whether she took “offense” to Grant’s behavior during their interview, to which she said, “You know what, my mama told me to kill people with kindness, so there you go.”

The model didn’t elaborate further, but she did maintain that she “had such a good time” interviewing other A-listers on behalf of ABC.

Although Grant has taken quite a beating over his behavior, the women of “The View” also came under fire for not asking him about the viral interview when he appeared on the show Thursday.

“Spineless no one asked about Oscars Red Carpet interview,” one critic tweeted.

“So, I guess Hugh Grant went to the #TheView with the agreement not to touch what happened with him and Ashley Graham? Because not a word, let alone a sentence!” another speculated.
