Chris Hemsworth made his Drew Barrymore Show debut this morning — but it wasn’t the first time he came across host Drew Barrymore.

Hemsworth, who was promoting his new movie Transformers One, admitted that he still gets starstruck when he’s around other celebrities — something Barrymore could relate to all too well.

“I still too get so excited about people,” she said. “For three weeks, since we’ve known you were coming on this show, we were like, ‘Chris Hemsworth is coming on the show.’ I’ll never lose sight of how incredible that is.”

Barrymore then recalled the time she ran into Hemsworth but was too afraid to say anything to him.

“There was this one time that I was in an area where you were at and I feel like I still kick myself,” she said.

Hemsworth immediately knew she was referring to the time they were at the same hair salon 10 years ago, prompting Barrymore to scream in excitement.

“This is hilarious,” Hemsworth said. “So I was getting my hair either tipped and blonded or darkened or something for a movie called Blackhat.

Barrymore then chimed in, “I was too nervous to go up to you. But the whole hour or two that I was sitting there, I was like, ‘I just want to meet Chris Hemsworth. I just want to meet him and I want to say hello.’”

The actress fangirled even more when Hemsworth admitted that he was “thinking the same thing” at the time.

“I just so wanted to be respectful,” Barrymore added. “I was freaking out the whole time!”

That wasn’t the only time Barrymore was too nervous to talk to a fellow celebrity. The star revealed earlier this year that the same thing happened when she saw Taylor Swift at the Grammys, despite previously working together on a campaign.

“We were CoverGirls together! I knew her back in the day,” she said. “But it does happen. I get too nervous to speak to people.”

The Drew Barrymore Show airs on weekdays on CBS. You can check the website for local airtimes.
