Dozens of apartments in a ritzy Upper East Side high-rise were without working stoves for nearly two months — after a resident’s bid to get their TV hung on the wall went haywire.

The tenant of a two-bedroom, 17th-floor apartment at 245 East 58th St. — where such pads fetch $8,000 or more a month — hired a worker through the odd job web site Task Rabbit to complete the project in February.

The worker didn’t identify himself to building management when he came to the do the job but went upstairs as a visitor — then allegedly drilled a hole in the building’s gas line while trying to hang the TV, according to a lawsuit.

The misstep left an entire line of apartments in the 29-story building without working stoves for seven weeks, management company Roc-Le Triomphe Associates LLC said in its Manhattan Supreme Court legal filing against Task Rabbit.

Con Edison and the Fire Department of New York had to be called in during the Feb. 1 incident to turn off the gas line.

The residents were given “temporary cooking equipment” and some have demanded rent abatements as a result, claimed the company, which is seeking $70,000 damages.

Task Rabbit declined to comment.
