The embattled “dictator” mayor of a Chicago suburb came under fire after she called constituents demanding her resignation amid numerous scandals — including being accused of misusing taxpayer funds and sex assault — a “s–tshow” earlier this week.
“Everybody wanted to continue to be a s–tshow and not really show facts as it relates to what’s really going on in our township,” Tiffany Henyard told residents of Thornton Township, where she is the supervisor in addition to being the self-proclaimed “super mayor” of nearby Dolton, Ill., FOX News Digital reported.
“We’re here to help each other and not hurt each other. And it’s a shame that us — us, I’m talking to my black and brown communities — would sit here and fight,” she allegedly added — while holding a gold microphone — during the Tuesday night meeting.
Earlier this week, the townspeople voted in former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to spearhead an investigation into Henyard’s activity.
At the Tuesday township meeting, however, the pol chastised her constituents for their loud booing and other criticisms.
“Guess what? I am the youth, I am the future, no matter what you think or may say,” she insisted amid more jeering from the room.
“When you don’t answer questions, there’s something to hide,” Dolton resident Mary Avon replied.
When Henyard accused the media of misrepresenting her activities, South Holland resident Curtis Watts chimed in to say, “No, ‘madam supervisor,’ we are not brainwashed. We are fed up.”
Multiple people brought up the troubling allegations that Henyard’s office fired an employee who claimed that she was sexually assaulted by one of the mayor’s supporters during a tax-funded “economic development” trip to Las Vegas.
“As a black woman, I wanna see you protect black women, and I haven’t seen that, Tiffany,” resident Trina Downs said Tuesday.
The town board has also accused Henyard of concealing personal expenses she paid for using public funds.
Her administration responded by denying multiple requests for financial documents — leaving many in the dark about the state of the village’s coffers.
Last month, Henyard also vetoed a vote for a probe into her spending.
The FBI is also reportedly looking into Henyard’s supposed misuse of taxpayer money — which allegedly included hundreds of thousands of dollars in overtime pay for police to serve as her personal security detail.
