We find ourselves in a bit of a good news/bad news situation. The good news? The NFL has finally returned with an array of exciting Week 1 matchups! The bad news? Yellowstone is still on hiatus.
Paramount Network aired a Yellowstone marathon over Labor Day weekend, but there are no new developments when it comes to a return date. You can watch Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923 on Paramount+ (Yellowstone isn’t airing on Paramount+, only Peacock), and all eight episodes of Taylor Sheridan’s newest series Special Ops: Lioness are also available to watch on the streamer.
When can you expect Yellowstone to return with new episodes? Here’s everything you need to know.
Nope. Yellowstone isn’t on tonight, and unfortunately, the beloved Western won’t be back anytime soon. Paramount Network is airing Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade from 8:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. ET.
All five seasons of Yellowstone are available on Peacock Premium. You can also watch select Season 5 episodes on-demand via the Paramount Network website, fuboTV, Sling TV (the $6/month “Comedy Extra” add-on), Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, Philo, or DIRECTV STREAM.

The short answer? Nobody knows. In January, it was announced that the final six episodes of this iteration of the series would debut in the summer of 2023. That… didn’t happen. Back in May, Deadline reported that Paramount Network was eyeing a November 2023 release date.
Due to the writers’ strike and ongoing behind-the-scenes turmoil, November always seemed aspirational at best, with The Hollywood Reporter even noting back in June that a November 2023 return seemed “highly unlikely.” And that was before the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Production on the final episodes of the series hasn’t even started. The situation remains in flux, but, we don’t expect new episodes of Yellowstone to air on Paramount Network anytime soon.
Nope. Sadly, the series isn’t currently streaming on Netflix or Max.
In what turned out to be a very savvy move, Peacock got the streaming rights in 2020, which is why the series isn’t currently available on Paramount+.
