We may not have a new episode of Yellowstone to watch this weekend, but we do have a few tasty teases about the second half of Season 5. Kelly Reilly and Luke Grimes recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about all things Yellowstone, with Grimes teasing a “profound, beautiful” series finale.
“I think it’s a perfect ending for the show for every character,” Grimes said. “It’s just a testament to what a good writer Taylor is.”
The fate of Yellowstone remains shrouded in mystery. Back in August, reports surfaced that the series would continue with Reilly and Cole Hauser. However, it’s still unclear if that would be a continuation of the flagship series or just one of the many planned Yellowstone spinoffs and prequels. Nothing is official, so, as always, expect the unexpected when it comes to our old pal Yellowstone.
As for the next (final?) batch of episodes, Reilly hints at the inevitable war that’s been brewing for multiple seasons between Beth and Jamie (Wes Bentley).
“She ended the last episode saying we’re at war,” Reilly told EW. “She keeps her promise.”
We. Can’t. Wait.
When exactly does Yellowstone return? Here’s everything you need to know.
Nope. The 2005 Adam Sandler film The Longest Yard airs from 7:55-10:35 p.m. ET, followed by the 2008 comedy Step Brothers.
Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 premieres Sunday, November 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET on Paramount Network.
You can stream all five seasons of the series on Peacock. Episodes and full seasons are also available to purchase on Amazon.
Yep. On June 20, Costner confirmed his permanent exit from the series in a social media video.
“I just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon, and doing all the things that’s required and thinking about Yellowstone, that beloved series that I love, that I know you love, I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue, Season 5B or into the future,” Costner said. “It was something that really changed me. I loved it and I know you loved it, and I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning. I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop, and I’ll see you at the movies.”
Costner later elaborated on his statement during an interview with Extra‘s Billy Bush, clarifying that he was waiting to receive more info on the fate of his character, but it never came. “I just hadn’t heard anything about how [John Dutton’s death] would be done,” Costner said. “So it’s time to move on as gracefully as you can with something that’s been very important to you…It was time to move.”
Yellowstone returns with new episodes Sunday, November 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET on Paramount Network.
