NextImg:Does ‘Five Nights At Freddy’s’ Have An End Credits Scene? ‘FNAF’ Includes a Mid-Credits Treat for YouTube Fans

The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie will be streaming on Peacock Premium tomorrow, but if you want to see it with a crowd—and see it a few hours early—you can watch the film in theaters today.

Directed by Emma Tammi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback, Five Nights at Freddy’s is based on the video game franchise of the same name about a security guard (played by Josh Hutcherson in the movie) at a family fun center, who finds himself at the mercy of four murderous animatronic killing machines every night. The movie also stars Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Mary Stuart Masterson, and Matthew Lillard, and promise to be the next fun PG-13 horror flick from Blumhouse.

The horror video game grew in popularity thanks to “play through” videos on platforms like YouTube and Twitch, so it makes sense that the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie includes a cameo from YouTuber CoryxKenshin. And if you stick around for the Five Nights at Freddy’s credits, you’ll be treated to a bonus scene. Read on to learn more about the Five Nights at Freddy’s post-credits scene.

Don’t rush to the bathroom or pause the movie just yet: There is both a mid-credits scene after the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, and a little audio teaser at the very end of the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie credits.

The mid-credits scene goes like this: The cab driver (played by YouTuber CoryxKenshin) who was tasked with driving young Abby (played by Piper Rubio) and the giant animatronic monster earlier in the film gets another scare. Somehow, the “Nightmare Balloon Boy,” a terrifying little figurine from the video game who haunts the movie, shows up in the passenger seat of the taxi. CoryxKenshin, aka Cory DeVante Williams, screams, and the audience has a good laugh. It’s just a little bonus for fans of William’s comedic play throughs of horror games on Youtube.

Then, if you stay until the very end of the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie credits—after all the songs and production company logos—there is not an additional scene, but there is some curious audio. It sounds like one of the nightmare animatronic machines is trying to spell something out loud, but I’ll be honest: I have no idea what that dude was saying. Maybe it’s a reference to the game! I didn’t play it! If you know what that mysterious grunting meant, please enlighten me. I’m dying to know.
