The reigning World Series champion Dodgers head to San Francisco this weekend to take on National League West rival Giants.

Despite still holding a comfortable lead in the division, the Dodgers come into the series on their worst skid of the season, and it’s not getting any easier on Friday night.

The Giants will send Logan Webb to the mound as he looks to continue what has been a dominant first half.

Webb has been about as good as any pitcher in the senior circuit thus far, posting a 2.62 ERA with a career-best 9.95 strikeouts per nine innings through 19 starts.

He held the Dodgers in check in Los Angeles a month ago, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs in a 6-2 Giants win.

They’ll face Webb after an atrocious stretch offensively.

During their current six-game losing streak, the Dodgers have hit .190/.269/.275 with just 10 runs scored, as star hitters like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman struggle at the plate.

The Dodgers won’t get very much help on the mound, either.

Right-hander Dustin May, who is still trying to find his form after elbow surgery, will counter Webb.

May started the 2025 season out strong, but it hasn’t been pretty lately, posting a 5.08 ERA over his last seven starts.

With a clear advantage on the mound and the Dodgers in the middle of a funk, I like the value on the Giants in the series opener at Oracle Park on Friday.
