NextImg:Do SUVs have a hidden table? Drivers are just now discovering ‘hack’

A new “hack” has been put on the table.

Drivers of SUVs were shocked to discover that certain models have a hidden table after a video on TikTok started circulating on the internet.

TikTok user @kyrcglam shared in a video — which has garnered 1.4 million views and 146,400 likes — that people who drive Honda CR-Vs might have a fold-away table hidden in their trunk.

She showed people where to find the table by lifting up the black rubber cover and then pulling on the black loop attached to the trunk’s lining.

Viewers then see a flat, black plastic base with a button that pushes down to make a handle pop up.

Once Kyrc pulled it out by the handle, it unfolded into a decent-sized table.

“Just extend both the legs out and it’s a table and it’s really convenient,” she said in the TikTok.

The video of the discovery was a response to a comment from another video about her car showing how it can turn into a bed car which said, “Some models come with picnic tables & chairs.”

However, Kyrc’s model only had a table, no chairs.

From 1997 to 2006, every single Honda CR-V had a folding picnic table in the trunk, according to Autotrader. The models after 2006 do not include the table.

People couldn’t believe they never knew about this and rushed to the comments to share their excitement — or disappointment that their models didn’t have it.

“Just extend both the legs out and it’s a table and it’s really convenient,” she said in the TikTok.

“That is CRAZY!!!!!!! Why is this the first time I knew about this?! I’m on my third CRV!” one person wrote.

“Not me having a 2009 crv and being proud of my car for being cool for TWO SECONDS then realized it didn’t have it,” another commented.

“this hurts so bad, mine is 2019 no table,” someone said.

“I’ve been cleaning cars for 20 yrs and NEVER even noticed this honda crv?” a confused user commented.

“as a Honda sales consultant when a customer brings in an older crv to trade I get so excited when they still have their table inside of it,” someone shared.

This isn’t the first “shocking” reveal that might seem obvious to others.

Over the holidays, people freaked out about another ubiquitous item. Nutcrackers have become a staple of Christmas décor — but their actual purpose has been a shock to some.

Go figure: The true function of Nutcrackers lies within its name. People stormed social media to express their surprise after discovering nutcrackers are actually used to crack open the shells of nuts.

In yet another revelation on the internet, people discovered a “hack” for salt grinders.

TikTok content creator Mark, who posts on the Right Guys Review account, posted a video of him grabbing a salt grinder out of his kitchen cabinet and explaining, “Do you know these salt shaker things? Well, did you know you can actually change it from fine to ground? I never knew that. Who knew that?”

One discovery saw McDonald’s customers realizing what the buttons and ridges on the top of the drink lids are for.

Lots of customers correctly guessed that the circular buttons were indicators of what drink is in the cup. Each button has a label: “diet,” “cola,” “RB” for root beer, and “other.” But the function of the smaller rectangle buttons next to the circular ones wasn’t as obvious: The ridges are used to correct a mistake if a server presses down the wrong circular button.
