The View‘s annual summer hiatus snuck up on us this year. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to tune into the hit daytime talk show this morning, you’ll be disappointed to learn that ABC won’t be airing a new episode today, or for the rest of the summer. Fortunately for those who never miss a day at the Hot Topics table, you’ll still be able to catch up on reruns.
Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin are getting some well-deserved time off from their daily duties, meaning we won’t get to hear them drag President Donald Trump, or give sound advice to Reddit complainers for an entire month.
So, why isn’t The View on today? And when will it be back? Keep reading for everything we know.
No, The View was not canceled. Each summer, the ladies take off for a month-long summer hiatus between seasons — meaning new episodes will not air today or for the next few weeks. In place of the live broadcast, reruns of previous episodes will air on ABC.
The co-hosts are set to return to The View for Season 29 after Labor Day (on Tuesday, Sept. 2, to be exact).

The View might not be airing new episodes for the rest of the month, but ABC will be playing reruns, meaning you can catch up on anything you might’ve missed!
