Sunny Hostin was noticeably absent from this morning’s episode of The View — and she won’t be back any time soon. Luckily, we have you covered on everything you need to know about when she will return to her seat at the Hot Topics table!
The last time Sunny was on The View was before the long weekend on Thursday, May 22. The co-hosts took some time off from their daily duties to celebrate and honor Memorial Day on Friday, May 23 and Monday, May 26. When they returned to the show today, Ana Navarro — who typically only works Mondays and Fridays when Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are off — was sitting in Sunny’s assigned chair.
So, why wasn’t she on The View today? When will she be back? We have the answers to your burning questions below.
No, Sunny did not quit The View — nor was she fired. Keep reading to find out why she was absent from today’s live taping.
Sunny was not on this morning’s episode of The View because she was attending her son Gabriel Hostin’s college graduation, Goldberg explained when she settled into her seat at the Hot Topics table.
“We have to tell you that Sunny is out this week because she’s attending our son’s college graduation. He is graduating from Harvard. It’s so wonderful,” she said, before adding, “Congratulations, Gabriel. We knew you could and now you did, so yay for you.”

According to Goldberg, Sunny will be out this entire week celebrating her son’s milestone, meaning we likely won’t see her back on The View until Monday, June 2.
