Massive parlays are usually for suckers, but luck was on Dez Bryant’s side this weekend.
The ex-Cowboys star won an absurd 13-leg men’s college basketball parlay on BetMGM Sportsbook over the weekend off of sheer luck, with a $767.68 winning $416,970.35.
The bet came to fruition thanks to a late 14-2 second-half run from Nevada to down UNLV.
Bryant, a retired wide receiver known for throwing up the “X” after scoring a touchdown, won the huge bet and took a video of the cashier stacking up his hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.
“That’s love,” Bryant said as the cashiers laughed, pushing the mass pile of paper towards the Dallas legend.
But digging in deeper, Bryant is probably the sportsbook’s best friend.
Bryant has another parlay bet that would cash Monday, with the final leg coming in on Taylor Fritz to beat Tommy Paul in the tennis final at the Delray Beach Open — a $1,000 bet to win $25,000.
But the crux of that story is he has no idea who he bet on.
One fan on X, user @bordersroad commented: “have you seen Tommy Paul play the last few weeks? dude is on fire.”
Bryant replied: “Honestly I have no clue, I just put him down because it looked good.”
It sounds like Bryant is just throwing bets at the wall, hoping a few of them stick. And he did get lucky this time.
But this is bound to stop sooner rather than later, though, as sportsbooks will always be building their house on parlays.

A 13-leg college basketball parlay has such a small likelihood at victory that it is overwhelmingly unlikely to win again.
But maybe Bryant can snag a sports betting media deal that gives him a sponsorship deal, similar to what Barstool Sports and LeBron James netted in the past few weeks.
