In the series finale of the original Dexter, it appears our favorite serial killer dies in a hurricane, but it’s later revealed that he faked his death and is alive and well in Oregon. The 2021 limited series Dexter: New Blood concludes with Dexter’s son, Harrison (Jack Alcott ), seemingly killing his dad. Nope!
Dexter Morgan is alive and on the loose in New York City as we prepare for the series premiere of Dexter: Resurrection.
Taking place a few weeks after the events of New Blood, the latest iteration of the popular franchise follows Dexter as he heads to the Big Apple in an attempt to make amends with Harrison. But Dexter can’t escape his past, most notably his former friend and coworker Angel Batista (David Zayas). Per Paramount, “As father and son navigate their own darkness in the city that never sleeps, they soon find themselves deeper than they ever imagined — and that the only way out is together.”

Along with Michael C. Hall, the series stars Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, Ntare Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, and features the returns of Jack Alcott (Harrison Morgan from New Blood), David Zayas (Angel Batista), and James Remar (Harry Morgan).
Season 1 consists of ten episodes.
