Devin White wants out of Tampa.
The Pro Bowl linebacker has reportedly requested a trade from the Buccaneers after becoming frustrated and “fed up” with the organization, according to ESPN.
Contract negotiations are at the heart of his displeasure, sources told ESPN’s Jenna Laine.

According to multiple reports, the team does not want to trade the No. 5 pick in the 2019 draft after it picked up his fifth-year option for $11.7 million.
The 25-year-old’s unhappiness seems to have brewing for a while, if his cryptic social media posts are indicators.
“4 year[s] went by fast,” he wrote in a series of Instagram stories, adding “thank ya,” with a pirate flag and a peace sign emoji.

He also posted a sign with the message, “God isn’t asking you to figure it out. He’s asking you to trust that he already has.”
White then took to Twitter to clarify his posts.
“Reflecting on how fast my first four years went by, def a thanks to Bucs fans ‘good & mean ones lol'” he tweeted on March 6. “The upside is scary.”

White racked up 124 tackles and 5.5 sacks with two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 2022, totaling 483 tackles with 20.5 sacks, 55 quarterback hits, six forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries in 62 regular-season games.
He was a key member of the Bucs’ Super Bowl-winning squad in 2020, making the Pro Bowl the following season.
Tampa Bay, however, has become cash-strapped. It’s currently $55 million over the salary cap with $35 million of cap hit for the now-retired Tom Brady.

This offseason has seen the team cut veterans Leonard Fournette, Donovan Smith, Ryan Succop and Cameron Brate, while restructuring several players’ long-term contracts.
The Bucs did re-sign veteran linebacker Lavonte David to a one-year deal this offseason, though White’s request to get out of town could make things hairy at the position after 2024.
