NextImg:Desiigner checks into mental health facility after allegedly exposing himself on plane

Desiigner is putting his career on hold while getting help for his mental health after allegedly exposing himself on a recent international flight.

The rapper says he had a bad chemical reaction to a new medication, leading him to act out while on a flight back home from Thailand and Tokyo.

“For the past few months i have not been ok, and i have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on,” he wrote on his Instagram Story Thursday. “While overseas for a concert i performed at, i had to be admitted in to a hospital, i was not thinking clearly.”

He continued, “They gave me meds, and i had to hop on a plane home. I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane. I landed back to the states, and am admitting my self in a facility to help me.”

The “Prada” performer will be canceling all of his upcoming engagements while working on his mental health.

“Mental health is real guys, please pray for me,” he concluded. “If your [sic] not feeling like yourself please get help.”

Insiders told TMZ that despite allegedly exposing himself to a flight attendant, the rapper — whose real name is Sidney Selby — will not be facing any criminal charges.

A rep for Desiigner did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

This is the second time the rapper has evaded jail time.

In 2016, the rapper was arrested in New York for misdemeanor drug and menacing charges, yet they were dropped just three months later.

At the time, Police claimed that the “Panda” performer also waved a handgun during a road rage dispute, but he was never charged for anything gun-related.
