NextImg:Design duo Whitney Robinson, Marc Karimzadeh bring chic keeps to auction

Glam design power couple Whitney Robinson and Marc Karimzadeh have taken a page from Marie Kondo and are now auctioning off some of the special objects that have lived in their Manhattan digs — decorated by Miles Redd and David Kaihoi — and their former East Hampton residence.

Doyle Auctioneers & Appraisers is hosting the auction now through April 19.

The design dynamos’ full collection is currently on exhibit at Doyle, 175 E. 87th St., until April 17. The showing includes pieces by Gio Ponti and Hans Wegner, and art by Pedro Friedeberg, Daniel Arsham, Tyler Hayes, Sebastian Black and Russell Crotty.

Last year, Robinson — Elle Decor’s former editor in chief — and his husband, Karimzadeh, editorial director for the Council of Fashion Designers of America, listed and sold their lavishly renovated, colorful one-bedroom residence at the Metropolitan, 181 E. 90th St.

That’s because the duo bought a larger three-bedroom — with a terrace and Central Park views — in the building, which was one of the final commissions of legendary architect Philip Johnson.

There are also pieces by covetable names like Arne Jacobsen, Chris Wolston, Eero Saarinen, Ted Muehling, the Haas Brothers and Isamu Noguchi — along with an extensive collection of books on fashion and design.

Another notable item in the collection is a brooch by Schlumberger, Tiffany & Co., designed as a gold, blue paillonné enamel, diamond and gem-set camel.

Items in the collection range in value from $50 to $80,000, a spokesperson said.
