Deshaun Watson would fancy a reunion with DeAndre Hopkins in Cleveland.
Watson spoke to reporters at a Browns charity event on Tuesday and seemed to acknowledge he has lobbied the Browns to make a run at the free-agent wide receiver.
“That’s kind of out of my range of things,” Watson said, according to ESPN. “All I can do is make a call and see what happens.”
Hopkins, 30, was stunningly released by the Cardinals last week.
Watson and Hopkins were teammates in Houston from 2017-20, during which Hopkins was an All-Pro three times.
The quarterback said that the two have remained in touch.
“Me and D-Hop, we just naturally talk,” Watson said. “We’ve been talking since the Houston days. … He’s always been a brother of mine. … Our connection, our relationship has always been great. … Of course, we would love to have him. He knows that.”
In nine games last season, Hopkins caught 64 balls for 717 yards and three touchdowns.
The wideout has totaled 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns over 10 seasons.
Last offseason, Watson was traded from the Texans to the Browns and signed a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract with Cleveland.
Watson missed all of 2021 amid an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct from over two dozen Houston-area massage therapists and was suspended for the first 10 games of last season by the NFL.
The Browns went 3-3 in games started by Watson last season and finished last in the AFC North.
If the Browns front office is interested in landing Hopkins, they will have competition for his services.
The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy pegged the Bills, Chiefs, Bears, Patriots and Lions as other teams who could potentially be interested in signing Hopkins.
