Derrick Henry will soon be a free agent, and oddsmakers think the veteran running back will be in a new uniform next season.
Henry, who has spent his entire eight-year career with the Titans, is 10/1 to spend next season in Tennessee’s backfield, trailing two other teams much closer to championship contention.
The Ravens (+110) have emerged as the favorites to land Henry, who turned 30 last month.
Henry would immediately slot in as Baltimore’s RB1, with J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards set to become free agents and Keaton Mitchell working himself back from a knee injury he suffered late last season.
The Cowboys (+450) have the second-best odds to sign Henry.
Dallas handed the keys to Tony Pollard at the running back position last year and got some slightly disappointing results after he ran for just 1,005 yards and six touchdowns over 17 games.
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Baltimore Ravens | +110 |
Dallas Cowboys | +450 |
Miami Dolphins | 10/1 |
Tennessee Titans | 10/1 |
Houston Texans | 10/1 |
Los Angeles Chargers | 11/1 |
Philadelphia Eagles | 12/1 |
Minnesota Vikings | 15/1 |
Green Bay Packers | 15/1 |

The team could opt to franchise tag Pollard, which would likely take them out of the Henry sweepstakes, although they are expected to let him walk in free agency.
The Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans, who are also expected to be looking for some help at running back this offseason, are at 10/1 with the Titans.
Houston is also in the running for the Giants’ Saquon Barkley if he doesn’t re-sign in the Big Apple.
Henry has been one the best running backs in the NFL throughout his career, making the Pro Bowl four times and winning the 2020 Offensive Player of the Year Award.
He has stayed impressively healthy for a running back in the modern game throughout his career, playing in at least 15 games in seven out of his eight seasons.
Last season, Henry played in all 17 games for the Titans, leading the NFL in carries (280) and finishing second in rushing yards (1,167).
However, there are questions about Henry’s age after he turned 30 last month, which could limit his market to teams willing to take on that additional health and decline risk.
