Derek Carr certainly made the most of his first day of NFL retirement.

The wife of the former Saints quarterback posted a new video Saturday of what Carr, 34, did in his free time after announcing Saturday he’s stepping away from the game following 11 years in the league.

In the family-filled Instagram clip, Heather Carr documented her husband running in the yard and working out with the couple’s four children before the pair went on a date.

As the video continued, Carr could be seen loading up his truck with golf clubs.

“Alright, babe, what’s next on the first day of retirement?” Heather asked, to which her husband of nearly 13 years replied, “I’m going to make The Tour.”

The family then settled down to dinner before Carr concluded the day watering the garden and sitting behind his computer.

“Ending our first day of retirement,” Heather said as she captured a smiling Carr in his office.

Carr, whose shoulder injury was revealed earlier in the offseason, opted to retire in lieu of undergoing surgery that likely would have sidelined him for the 2025 season.

“It’s difficult to find the right words to express our thanks to all the teammates, coaches, management, ownership, team officials and especially the fans who made this journey so special. Your unwavering support has meant the world to us,” he said in a statement.

A 2014 second-round pick, Carr spent the first nine years of his career with the Raiders, who drafted him 36th overall out of Fresno State.

Upon being released by the franchise in 2023, Carr signed a four-year, $150 million contract with the Saints. He spent the past two years in New Orleans.

In 169 appearances, Carr threw for 41,245 yards, 257 touchdowns and 112 interceptions. He completed 65.1 percent of his passes.

Heather paid tribute to Carr and his “amazing” career in a heartfelt Instagram message Saturday.

“Happy retirement my love! I’m so proud of you! What an amazing 11 year career. All your records, pro bowls, and accomplishments on the field don’t even compare to the husband, dad and man you are off the field. I am so excited for what the Lord has next for us! There is so much more I want to say but I’ll just tell you in person,” she gushed.
