Get two for the price of one! A glam Star Island, Florida, property with a historic, century-old home and a modern glass mansion is back on the market for $68 million.
That’s down from its then-record $90 million ask last year.
The listing comes shortly after Jeff Bezos paid $68 million for a nearby mansion on Indian Creek Island, which is also home to Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
The seller is John Jansheski, a dental products entrepreneur. Jansheski bought the property, which sits on 0.92 acres, at 27 Star Island for $10.75 million in 2011. At the time, the property featured a 1920s Mediterranean-style villa that was around 7,000 feet, designed by Walter DeGarmo.
In 2014, Jansheski moved the house 150 feet and also built an 18,000-square-foot modern mansion, designed by South African starchitect firm SAOTA.
The two homes come with 10 bedrooms, 12 baths, 100 feet of waterfront — and views of the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay.
Details in the main house include 21-foot-high ceilings, acoustic paneled walls, a hosting bar and lounge, two media rooms, a 1,400-bottle wine storage area and a chef’s kitchen. Retractable glass doors open to the outdoor pool, a gym, a sauna, a bar, a garden and a dock.
Star Island consists of 30 waterfront homes in a gated community. Neighbors include hedge fund Citadel’s Ken Griffin, who plunked down $75 million for a property at 8 Star Island in late 2021, and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The listing broker is Douglas Elliman’s Dina Goldentayer, who is also listing Cher’s former La Gorce Island home for $42.5 million.
