Get your heist gear ready, because Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is coming to digital platforms tomorrow.
Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr. are back in this sequel to the 2018 heist flick Den of Thieves, and this time, they’re going to Europe. Just like Mary Kate and Ashley!
Written and directed by Christian Gudegast, who also wrote and directed the first film, Den of Thieves 2 finds sheriff “Big Nick” O’Brien (Butler) once again tracking down the criminal Donnie Wilson (Jackson Jr.), who escaped to Europe and is planning another heist. That guy just can’t get enough of stealing stuff! Meadow Williams will also reprise her role from the first film, and other cast members include Evin Ahmad, Salvatore Esposito, and Swen Temmell.
If you’ve been meaning to watch this movie but didn’t get a chance to see it in theaters, your time has come. Here’s what to know about where to watch Den of Thieves 2, including when we expect to see Den of Thieves 2 streaming free on Starz.
The Den of Thieves 2 movie will be released on digital, on premium video-on-demand, on Tuesday, January 28 at 12 a.m. Eastern Time (which is also Monday, January 27 at 9 p.m. Pacific Time). You’ll be able to buy or rent the film on digital platforms like Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vudu, and more. The film will cost $24.99 to buy a digital copy, or $19.99 to rent. If you rent the film, you will have 48 hours to watch it after hitting play.
Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is not yet streaming on a subscription streaming service, but we do expect to see Den of Thieves 2: Pantera streaming on Starz eventually.
There is not yet a Den of Thieves 2: Pantera movie streaming release date. Even though you will be able to buy or rent the Den of Thieves 2: Pantera movie online tomorrow, you won’t be able to stream it on a subscription-based streaming platform just yet.
That said, you can expect to see Den of Thieves 2: Pantera on Starz eventually because that is the streaming platform owned by Lionsgate. Another Lionsgate film, Borderlands, was released on premium video-on-demand after three weeks in theaters, and began streaming on Starz on December 25, about four and a half months after the movie opened in the theaters.
If Den of Thieves 2 follows the same release pattern, you can expect to see the movie on digital by the end of this month, and on Starz in about four and a half months, which would be around late May 2025.
But this is all speculation. If you want to watch Den of Thieves 2: Pantera right away, you can always buy or rent the film on digital.
