Mayor Eric Adams on Saturday blamed “demonic energy” for Hamas militants’ bloody attacks on Israel while ripping non-believers who question his own faith in God.
“You saw what happened in Israel? That’s not Islam!” Adams preached while speaking to 150 people at the 200th anniversary of the Brighton Heights Reformed Church on Staten Island.
“That’s the demonic energy. That’s the demonic energy of those who want to exploit Islam.
“And if we’re not careful, we’ll look at our Muslim brothers and sisters and attach them to Hamas. Hamas is a demonic, terrorist organization that killed innocent children, raped women and destroyed and shot people in front of their loved ones. That is not Islam.”
Adams, who famously claims God has visited him several times to help him plan for the role as mayor, also said, “It is time for praying people to pray again.”
“And people criticize me as the mayor, [saying] ‘You can’t talk about religion.’ You just gotta get over it!” crowed Adams. “Because I am a child of God. I believe in God.”
Adams has said God delivered him a divine message roughly 30 years ago that he’d be the mayor of NYC on Jan. 1, 2022 — which was when he was sworn in.
