


Days of Our Lives has been renewed for Season 61 at Peacock.
The iconic soap opera will stream exclusively on the platform for its third consecutive season. After debuting in 1965, the series remained on NBC until 2022, after becoming the network’s longest-running drama.
Since moving to Peacock, Days of Our Lives has remained among the streamer’s top 10 most-watched titles according to NBCUniversal.
With new episodes released every weekday, the show will air its 15,000th episode on December 2, according to a press release.
The platform has announced the renewal just one day before the series’ Day of Days 60th-anniversary celebration, which will take place at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater on Saturday.
Days of Our Lives is set in the fictional town of Salem, Ill, and follows the lives of the Bradys, the Hortons, the Carvers, the DiMeras, and the Kiriakises families.
The current cast of the show includes Suzanne Rogers, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Deidre Hall, Carson Boatman, Raven Bowens, Tamara Braun, Elia Cantu, Bryan Dattilo, Mary Beth Evans, Dan Feuerriegel, Billy Flynn, Galen Gering, Linsey Godfrey, Stacy Haiduk, Jackée Harry, Leo Howard, Cherie Jimenez, Abigail Klein, Eric Martsolf, AnnaLynne McCord, Stephen Nichols, Ashley Puzemis, James Reynolds, Josh Taylor, Paul Telfer, and Robert Scott Wilson, among others.
Ken Corday serves as executive producer on the series, alongside co-executive producer Albert Alarr and sis head writer Ron Carlivati. Corday Productions produces the series in association with Sony Pictures Television.
Throughout its 60-year run, Days of Our Lives has secured 63 Emmys. Dick Van Dyke recently took home a guest acting award at age 98, becoming the oldest Daytime Emmy winner ever.
