NextImg:David Robertson agrees to one-year contract with World Series champion Rangers

The rich just got richer

The World Series-winning Texas Rangers reached a one-year deal with David Robertson in the $11-12 million range with range on Thursday, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

The 38-year-old Robertson, who has had stints with the Yankees and Mets, has 175 saves in his 15-year career to go along with a 63-42 record and a 2.90 ERA.

Last season, the Mets traded the veteran reliever to the Miami Marlins once it became obvious their playoff hopes were dashed in July.

Before the trade, Robertson was 4-2 with a 2.05 ERA and 14 saves in 40 games with the Mets as the team’s closer in place of the injured Edwin Diaz.

But Robertson struggled during his brief stint with the Marlins.

In 14 games with Miami, Robertson had a 2-4 record and a 5.06 ERA with just four saves and was demoted out of the closer’s role.

During a September meeting between the Mets and Marlins, Robertson told The Post’s Mike Puma that if the opportunity presented itself, he would be willing to come back to pitch at Citi Field.

“If the opportunity is right, if everything works in my favor I would probably take the opportunity, but if not I am not going to,” he said.

That wasn’t meant to be, and Robertson, who was a key part of the Yankees’ 2009 World Series team, will now be looking to help the Rangers repeat as champs.
