Five takeaways from the full Nets’ schedule, released Thursday: 

New Nets coach Jordy Fernandez will see his old team, the Kings, on Nov. 24 in Sacramento.

He was their associate head coach from 2022-24.

Earlier in the month, the Nets will face former star Mikal Bridges in back-to-back games at the Garden against the rival Knicks on Nov. 15 and 17.

A season-high six-game road trip featuring games against the Nuggets, Lakers and Thunder.

Home dates against contenders like the Knicks, Suns, Heat, Pacers and 76ers.

There are 16 January games, and 11 are against teams that played in the postseason last year. 

Eight of the Nets’ 11 games will be at Barclays Center, and they face non-contenders like the Wizards (twice), Rockets (twice), Hornets and Trail Blazers.

A chance to pick up a few victories. 

The Nets aren’t exactly popular with the major networks.

They have just five nationally televised games, four of which will be broadcast by NBA TV.

The Nets will be on TNT once, against the Knicks at Barclays Center on Jan. 21. 

The Nets wrap up what is expected to be a forgettable year at Barclays Center against the Knicks on April 13.

At that point, things will get more interesting.

The biggest moment of the next calendar year for the Nets will likely be the draft lottery, when they hope to land a top pick in a loaded draft that likely includes Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey and Frenchman Nolan Traore, among others.
