As Apple TV+‘s Palm Royale ends an eventful first season, the streamer’s compelling new series, Dark Matter, begins.
Based on Blake Crouch’s popular sci-fi novel of the same name, Dark Matter follows Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton), a physicist, professor, husband, and father who unexpectedly explores “the road not taken.”
Per Apple TV+, “One night while walking home on the streets of Chicago, [Jason] is abducted into an alternate version of his life. Wonder quickly turns to nightmare when he tries to return to his reality amid the mind-bending landscape of lives he could have lived. The first season of Dark Matter consists of nine episodes — not eight, not ten…nine. (Just like Severance Season 1!) After Dark Matter‘s first two episodes premiere on Wednesday, May 8, the series will follow a weekly release schedule until its June 26 finale.
As noted above, new episodes of Dark Matter will premiere weekly on Wednesdays until the finale. That said, Apple TV+ often releases new episodes at 8:00 p.m. ET the night ahead of designated premiere dates, so if you’re extra eager to watch, keep your eyes peeled for new Dark Matter episodes on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET.
