Daniel Jones won’t play Sunday and it’s unclear if he will play again at all this season.

Head coach Brian Daboll ruled out Jones (neck) before Friday’s practice, which was a change from last week’s stance when Jones was listed as questionable and not ruled out after the last practice of the week.

Jones still has not been cleared for contact but began running scout-team reps last week, Daboll said.

Daboll could not say for certain that Daniel Jones will be back this season when asked.

Two weeks ago, Daboll said Jones’ injury – his second to the neck in three seasons – was not season-ending.

Jones missed the final six games of the 2021 season.

“He’s getting better. We’ll see where he is next week,” Daboll said. “I don’t have a crystal ball with injuries.”

When told that sounded less committal about Jones returning at some point over the final 10 games of the season, Daboll said, “Yup. I just go with the information that I get, and today he is out and getting better.”
