Daniel Jones is out, again, which comes as no surprise.
Tyrod Taylor was set to start for the second consecutive week when the Giants on Sunday faced the Commanders at MetLife Stadium.
Jones was listed as questionable for the game, as he continued to experience symptoms from the neck injury that arose in Week 5 against the Dolphins.
The injury designation was wishful thinking, as Jones has yet to be cleared for contact and sat for the second straight game.
There is a chance Jones is able to return to action for next week’s game against the Jets.
There was some optimism that his neck was improving enough and that he would be cleared for contact in the coming days.

The Giants’ offensive line continues to be beset by injuries.
Right tackle Evan Neal was one of the inactive players, dealing with a sprained ankle.
This is the first game this season Neal has not been able to play and it left the Giants without their two starting offensive tackles, as left tackle Andrew Thomas has not played since the season opener because of a strained hamstring.
Rookie center John Michael Schmitz is out for the third straight game with a shoulder issue.
On defense, the Giants lost starting cornerback Adoree’ Jackson to a neck injury. It is the first missed game this season for Jackson.
