Dan Quinn’s latest performance is about to be under a whole new microscope.
A day after the Cowboys defensive coordinator saw his squad lit up for 48 points in a wild-card loss to the Packers on Sunday, Sports Illustrated reports he’s lined up head coaching interviews with the Panthers, Titans, Commanders and Chargers this week.
Quinn was also linked to the Seahawks after they fired Pete Carroll.
How much his latest performance will factor in remains to be seen.
The Cowboys defense gave up seven touchdowns in the season-ending loss, forcing Green Bay to punt on just four of their possessions.
The unit gave up 415 total yards, including 143 on the ground — 118 of which went to running back Aaron Jones, who found the end zone three times.
The 48 points against were the most allowed by the Cowboys under Quinn, though Dak Prescott did throw a pick-six.
Still, the 53-year-old headed up a defense that finished the regular season in the top-10 in total yards, touchdowns, interceptions and first downs.
“Dan Quinn is already on the list for four other teams,” Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer said on Sunday. “I still think Dan will still be a hot candidate around the league regardless. He’ll still be up there despite this one game.”
Quinn also has the benefit of head coaching experience with the Falcons from 2015-20, guiding the Falcons to the 2016 Super Bowl — though the team’s infamous second-half collapse could lend itself to some questions about his postseason preparations.
The Morristown, N.J. native’s status in Dallas may be in question as well, with Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy facing calls for his job after the short playoff run and owner Jerry Jones not offering much in the way of public backing.

“I haven’t thought one second (about McCarthy’s future),” Jones said Sunday night, noting he had yet to set a time to meet with the coach.
While the Cowboys process the stunning loss and McCarthy’s future with the team, Quinn will at least be keeping busy working on his own.
