Dalvin Cook is on the move.

The 27-year-old, four-time Pro Bowl running back was released by the Minnesota Vikings last month.

A sign of the times.

Running backs aren’t valuable to NFL teams anymore.

Either way, Cook wants to record his fifth-straight 1,000-yard rushing season in 2023, just in a new location.

The New England Patriots have emerged as the betting favorites to sign Cook, sitting with +150 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook

The +150 odds imply a 40% probability that Cook signs with the Patriots, signaling Vegas’ confidence in this outcome.

The Patriots recently missed out on big-time free agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, and they could be looking to add more weapons to an offense that finished 24th in Offense DVOA last season.

Of course, the Patriots already have Rhamondre Stevenson, and it’d be unlike Bill Belichick to sign a big-name free-agent running back.

Two other AFC East teams are toward the top of the odds boards in the Cook market, as the Miami Dolphins sit with +200 odds, and the New York Jets sit with +400 odds.

The Jets could vie fot the star running back’s talents, as Breece Hall was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list to start training camp.

He might not be fully ready to start the season ad the Jets have a brutal schedule to start the season.

We all saw what Aaron Rodgers did with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon in in Green Bay; he loves his running backs.

The Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders and Denver Broncos all sit with +1500 odds to sign Cook.
