Jets fans are making Dalvin Cook feel right at home while letting him know exactly what they want from him.
The free agent running back, who is visiting the team facility in Florham Park on Sunday, was showered with chants of “Dal-vin Cook!” and “Sign that contract” as he watched the Jets practice, per a video from the @NYJetsMedia Twitter account.
Cook, 27, interacted with Jets players and coaches on the sidelines during practice and his agent, Eric Dounn, also posted video of his client walking through the hallways of the Jets’ facility.
Jets owner Woody Johnson also spent time speaking to Cook on the sideline, according to The Post’s Brian Costello.
The four-time Pro Bowler was released by the Minnesota Vikings after six seasons, the final four seeing him rush for more than 1,000 yards and featuring a 16-touchdown season in 2020.
He is now the biggest target in the free agent running back market and has teased the idea of signing with the Jets.
Cook also reportedly has interest from the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins, but at the moment does not have any other visits scheduled.
Cook had only had good things to say about the franchise and the idea of playing with former NFC North rival Aaron Rodgers in an interview with ESPN on Saturday.
“Their whole roster, I think it’s exciting,” Cook said. “I think the coaching staff, I think everything about what they got going on, just says winning. It’s just got it written all on it.”
The Jets have running back Breece Hall coming back from ACL surgery and Michael Carter looking to bounce back from a disappointing season, so adding Cook would bring more stability to the position.
Jets fans will just have to wait a little longer to see if they will have the chance to chant Cook’s name at MetLife Stadium this upcoming season.
