Dak Prescott has weighed in on the Micah Parsons-Cowboys standoff.
The Dallas quarterback, who has twice sparred with owner Jerry Jones over his contract, said things can easily be mended over if the money is right in the end.
“At the end of the day, it is business,” Prescott said, according to The Athletic. “We can’t make something business personal. I think when you do that, that’s where the division comes. … Once that business deal happens, you can move forward.”
Even after Parsons’ trade request, Prescott said he has a hard time seeing a situation where the star linebacker isn’t a Cowboy moving forward.
“No, not necessarily,” Prescott said when asked about the possibility of Parsons playing for a different team. “I think if I wouldn’t have been in his shoes, and watched other guys be in his shoes and get rewarded, maybe. But I’ve got faith in the Joneses and the team as I do in Micah and his team.
“I’m gonna be optimistic, and Eleven is a Cowboy.”
Parsons was reportedly not at practice on Thursday, although he is still with the team at training camp to avoid a fine.
ESPN reported Parsons was dealing with back tightness and received treatment during the workout.

Jones said earlier this week that he is not confident Parsons will play in their Week 1 season opener on Sept. 4 against the divisional rival Eagles.
Like Prescott, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer was more optimistic about a deal getting done between Parsons and the team before the season starts.
“We’re still planning on moving Micah around and putting him in all the spots that we see him and using our fronts the way we want to see it,” Schottenheimer said Tuesday. “We go about our business every day. We live in the moment. We focus on the moment. Like I said the other day, I expect Micah to be here.”
On Wednesday, Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, sounded off on the tense negotiations between him, the All-Pro player and Jones.
