Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

An irate Subway customer who was upset his sandwich had not been cut in half was charged with battery after allegedly hurling the offensive sub at one of the fast food chain’s employees, police said.

Alberto De Barros, 54, was taken into custody by police who were called to “a disturbance” at the restaurant in Stuart, Florida, just after 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Subway worker Cassandra Pierre-Louis told Martin County Sheriff’s deputies that De Barros “became upset with her after finding out that his sandwich was not separated,” according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Following a brief spat, De Barros “began causing a disruptive scene,” according to the affidavit.

Pierre-Louis then told De Barros she would no longer be serving him and he immediately made a phone call.

In the midst of the call “the sandwich was thrown at Ms. Pierre-Louis,” the report claims.

The sandwich struck Pierre-Louis in her “mid to lower body section.”

Deputies did not say what kind of sandwich De Barros had ordered.

As De Barros stormed out of the restaurant, Pierre-Louis followed him outside and captured video evidence of his demeanor and his car’s license plate.

When questioned by deputies, De Barros acknowledged being “upset over his sandwich not being cut,” but said he “believed he threw the sandwich at the counter instead of Ms. Pierre Louis,” the outlet reported.

Store surveillance footage also showed him taking the sandwich from the counter and hitting Pierre-Louis with it.

De Barros was released Wednesday after posting a $1,000 bond.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 1.
