Jealousy. We’ve all dealt with it. But how do you do so when in front of an entire camera crew — and what does a certified sex therapist have to say about it?

“Jealousy relates to a person detecting a threat to the very core of their relationship,” Sex and Relationship Expert Shamrya Howard says in our exclusive clip of the new Peacock reality show Couple to Throuple.

“Healthy expressions of jealousy involve you confronting the jealousy with your partner and finding ways to work through it,” Howard continues.

The new series, which premieres Feb. 8, 2024, follows four couples while they explore adding a third person to their relationships. The couples and singles mutually match with each other while participating in “Stay or Swap” ceremonies.

Couple to Throuple is hosted by Scott Evans and guided by Howard.

In our exclusive clip from Episode 3, Howard hosts a session with the couples about jealousy. The expert instructs the couples to write down a moment when they’ve experienced jealousy on a piece of paper and place it in a box.

During the session, one of the coupled contestants admits, “I know I need to work on my jealousy… In the beginnings of doing something with a third person, I’m the one who might be the most sensitive around new developments and new actions.”

The synopsis for the show teases, “Set at a remote tropical resort, the couples will meet, mingle, and date a group of singles, many experienced in polyamory. With three times the fun, the feelings, and the drama, these relationships are put to the ultimate test to see if they are the perfect match.”

Couple to Throuple premieres the first three of 10 episodes on Feb. 8, and will continue to release in weekly batches of three. The season finale will air separately.
