Off to a surprising 7-2 start in the first season of quarterback Jayden Daniels and head coach Dan Quinn, Washington has made a big trade.

The Commanders are acquiring star defensive back Marshon Lattimore from the Saints, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero <a href="https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1853859001659973833" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">first reported</a>.

The Commanders are trading a third-round, fourth-round and sixth-round pick in the deal, while also getting back a fifth-rounder from the Saints, <a href="https://x.com/AdamSchefter/status/1853861692683215031" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter</a>.

Lattimore has made four Pro Bowls and was the 2017 Defensive Rookie of the Year.
