Columbia University’s embattled president Minouche Shafik admitted Monday that talks with anti-Israel protestors have broken down — as she warned the Ivy League school was now looking at other options to “end this crisis as soon as possible.”
Shafik said academic leaders had been engaging with student protestors since last week in a bid to dismantle the tent encampement.
“Regretfully, we were not able to come to an agreement,” the president said in a statement.
