Things got political in the Bravo Clubhouse — but not in the way you might think. During Wednesday night’s (July 31) episode of Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen was left too stunned to speak when comedian Cole Escola admitted to having the “hots” for Utah Sen. Mitt Romney.

The shocking confession came during a game in which Cohen and Saturday Night Live star Ego Nwodim had to guess if potential facts about Escola (who uses they/them pronouns) were true or false. And let’s just say they hit the ground running.

“Good thing it’s an election year because believe it or not, Cole has the hots for sexy Sen. Mitt Romney,” Paul, the announcer, said to the trio.

Without much hesitation, both Cohen and Nwodim correctly guessed that Escola was attracted to the Republican politician.

“It’s true. But I just want to finger him,” Escola clarified. “It’s not like a crush. I just want to finger him. That’s it.”

Nwodim spiced things up even more when she asked if anyone would “finish.”

“I think I could make him scream,” Escola replied.

While nothing else was quite as jaw-dropping as the first fact, Escola did reveal some other interesting tidbits about their life.

The actor wrote and stars in the hit Broadway play Oh, Mary!, a dark comedy centered around Abraham Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd Lincoln. During Cohen’s game, they said they feel a “hot chill down their neck” before every performance, which they believe to be the ghost of the late Lucille Lortel.

And not only does Escola have a purse that was once owned by Carol Channing and a blouse that was worn by Elizabeth Taylor, but they also played Clifford the Big Red Dog at Mary-Louise Parker and Billy Crudup‘s son’s second birthday party.

“So we’ve worked together,” they quipped.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
