It looks like Justin Timberlake isn’t the only celebrity stressed out about Britney Spears‘ upcoming memoir, Woman in Me.

Christina Aguilera could not evade Jimmy Kimmel‘s pressing questions about the memoir during her recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Although it looked like she had no interest in making a cameo in her fellow pop star’s memoir, she did wish her well.

“You know Britney Spears has a memoir coming out, do you think you’ll be in it?” Kimmel asked Aguilera. “Has she called you and said, ‘Hey heads up?'”

Aguilera seemed conflicted as she replied, “Dude, I don’t know.” Her reticence starts to make a bit of sense when you remember that the pop stars were constantly pitted against each other throughout the early 2000s, but the manufactured rivalry later turned into an actual public feud when they began criticizing each other in interviews.

Kimmel pressed her further, asking Aguilera if she was hoping she would be mentioned. “I don’t know! I don’t know,” she said while laughing. “Am I hoping? I mean, I’m hoping that, you know, everything is all good with her and everything’s beautiful. I think the future should be celebrated.”

What a lovely response! But Kimmel wasn’t buying it.

“Sure, but if you had to choose between being in the book and not being in the book?” he replied, eliciting laughter from Aguilera and the audience.

She began to stammer as she struggled to respond. On the other hand, Kimmel said he would love to be mentioned in her memoir.

“Maybe you will be in it. Let’s put it this way,” Aguilera responded. “I’d rather it be you than me. So, hopefully you’ll be in it. You’ll make the book.”

If their public feud doesn’t make it in, maybe she’ll at least earn a mention for that infamous kiss they both shared with Madonna at the 2003 VMAs.

Spears’ memoir is sure to be a doozy. In Woman in Me, the pop singer recounts everything from her decades-long career to her conservatorship and becoming a mother.

But she also makes a number of candid confessions in the book, revealing that she once had an abortion when she was dating Timberlake at the age of 19 because he allegedly didn’t want to be a father at the time. She also claimed that he cheated on her during their two-year relationship with another celebrity, who remains unnamed in the book.

It looks like no celebrity will be safe when this tell-all memoir comes out — perhaps even Kimmel!

Woman in Me hits the stands on Oct. 24. Scroll up to see what Aguilera had to say about Spears’ memoir.
