Chris Pratt is telling it like it is.
According to People, the Guardians of the Galaxy star aired his grievances at a New York Comic Con panel alongside his Electric State co-star Millie Bobby Brown and directors Joe and Anthony Russo on Thursday (Oct. 17).
“Look, these guys can attest to this, because they’re the same way, like, there’s no room for shitty attitudes there,” he said. “You can’t have a bad attitude in moviemaking, it ruins everything for everyone, and then you don’t last long.”
Arguing that “it sucks when people have a crappy attitude,” he continued, “So when you show up on set, there’s no reason why you should… Like, ‘Oh, are you having a hard time living your dream? Is that tough for you today?’ Like, come on and pull your head out. Have fun.”
Fortunately, Pratt said he “had a great time” working with Brown on the upcoming Netflix sci-fi feature based on Simon Stålenhag’s graphic novel; he praised the young actress as “just incredible.”
“She was surrounded by all these animals,” he recalled. “She’s like, they would yell cut and she’d go to her home and she’s finding a home for, like some pygmy goat to be adopted and organizing a U-Haul full of pit bull puppies to be taken to Indiana. Like she has such a huge heart, such a love for animals.”
Ke Huy Quan, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, and Woody Norman join Pratt and Brown on screen in The Electric State, while Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk lend their voices.
The Electric State hits Netflix on March 14. Check out the trailer above.
