The Cowboys and Eagles are rivals, and they made sure to act the part on Thursday night.

After Philadelphia kicked off to Dallas after evening the score at seven with under six minutes to play in the first quarter, the two teams pushed and shoved in a tense moment near the Cowboys’ 22-yard line.

KaVontae Turpin was tackled by the Eagles’ special teams unit, but extracurriculars ensued, with Marist Liufau and KaVontae Turpin of the Cowboys in the middle of it for Dallas — and the former losing his helmet — and Cooper DeJean in the fray for Philly.

After all was said and done, the Cowboys were flagged with two unnecessary roughness penalties, with one assessed.

It didn’t deter the Cowboys too much, as they waltzed to an 88-yard touchdown drive capped off by a one-yard rush from Javonte Williams.

The first quarter brought plenty of action, as Eagles star Jalen Carter was ejected after spitting on Cowboys quarterback Jalen Hurts just six minutes into the NFL season.
