L’Jarius Sneed is on the move after all.
The Chiefs are finalizing a trade to send the cornerback to the Titans, according to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Kansas City, which had previously placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Sneed earlier this offseason, is expected to land a 2024 seventh-round draft pick and a 2025 third-rounder in return, per ESPN.
According to The Athletic, the two sides previously had the framework for a Sneed trade but he and the Titans could not come to an agreement on a long-term contract.
Now, according to Schefter, Sneed will be signing a new deal with Tennessee.
It’s unclear what the terms of the contract are.
A fourth-round pick in 2020, Sneed, 27, had multiple interceptions in each of his four seasons, having hit 10 for his career this year.
Sneed also has 6.5 sacks in his career.
According to Pro Football Focus, he graded out at 71.1 this season.
