Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy gave a rousing speech during a crucial point during Super Bowl 2024.

Nagy gathered the Chiefs’ offense moments after the much-talked-about blowup Travis Kelce had with Andy Reid to try and harness the emotions on the sideline into a positive result on the field.

The moment was captured by the “Inside the NFL” cameras and microphones during the big game, which the Chiefs ended up winning, 25-22.

“Emotions right now, just stick together. We got each other,” Nagy said. “That’s who we are. We talked last night about being us and being champions. These are the moments where it doesn’t get too big. Stick together.”

The Chiefs trailed 10-3 at the end of the first half but battled back in the second and overtime to capture the franchise’s fourth Super Bowl title.

Nagy’s speech came just moments after Kelce had gotten into a heated exchange with Reid on the sideline.

Kelce screamed in the Chiefs coach’s face and then appeared to bump into him after Isaiah Pacheco fumbled deep in 49ers territory.

The Chiefs star tight end came over to Reid and hugged him shortly after.

“He caught me when I wasn’t looking,” Reid said with a laugh during an interview on ESPN after the Super Bowl win. “He didn’t know I was going to go that far. Then he came over and gave me a hug and said ‘Sorry about that.’ But he just wants to be on the field and he wants to play. There’s nobody I get better than I get him.

“He’s a competitive kid and he loves to play and he makes me feel young, but my balance is terrible.”

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes also said the incident showed the passion the team has when they’re locked in a battle.

“That’s just the type of mentality we’ve always had and that’s why we can win games like we won today,” he said.
