Where to Stream:

Queer Eye (2018)

Powered by Reelgood

Queer Eye is back for season 7!

The Netflix reboot of the 2003 reality show, where five gay men who each specialize in different lifestyle categories make over an individual who needs some kind of change in their life, has been a hit for the streamer since premiering in 2018 and turned the new Fab Five into celebs.

Jonathan Van Ness (grooming), Antoni Porowski (food and wine), Bobby Berk (design), Tan France (fashion), and Karamo Brown (culture) head to New Orleans for the new season, which is released on Netflix in full today, May 12.

In between seasons of the series, everyone in the Fab Five has released books, among other products.

If you want to learn more about all of them, their books are a great place to start. Even though Porowski and Berk haven’t released typical memoirs, there’s a lot to be gleaned about the kind of people they are in books that focus more on their craft than their lives.

Below, we’ve rounded up all of these books, along with a few more things, like fan-favorite products from JVN Hair.

In France’s memoir, he takes readers from his childhood, growing up gay in a South Asian family in England, to his career, and eventually finding the love of his life.

In Tan’s own words, “The book is meant to spread joy, personal acceptance, and most of all understanding. Each of us is living our own private journey, and the more we know about each other, the healthier and happier the world will be.”

Berk is the final member of Queer Eye’s Fab Five to become a published author, and he’s doing so with Right At Home, a guide to help you feel happy and content in your home using some of his signature design philosophies.

The book will be released in September 2023, but you can pre-order it now.

In August 2021, Van Ness released their long-awaited line of hair products. One of the highest-rated is this blowout styling milk. Just one or two pumps will take your hair from fried and frizzy to soft and shiny. The product is heat activated, so it’ll work best when used directly before curling, straightening, or blowing out hair.

The very first book to come out of Queer Eye is this, co-authored by the Fab Five and released following season 2 of the reboot airing on Netflix. Part behind-the-scenes insights and part guidebook, each member of the cast provides tips on creating a more fulfilling life through the five different categories showcased in the series.

JVN’s first book is a memoir, which begins during their childhood as they came of age in the Midwest. Unflinching in their honesty, Van Ness writes about the traumas they endured on the path to where they are today, but there’s a hopeful thread throughout the entire book as well.

The culture expert on Queer Eye uses his first memoir, in part, to define what culture means to him and, in turn, connect that to his own story. He reflects on personal issues from his past, as well as imparts lessons that he’s learned on his healing journey.
