It was a Thanksgiving to remember for Hanna and Haley Cavinder.
The social media sensations and college athletes — who reached the Elite Eight with the Miami Hurricanes in this year’s NCAA women’s basketball tournament — gave their legions of Instagram followers an intimate look at their Thanksgiving festivities in a new post.
“Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving,” the Cavinders wrote Friday. “Thankful for health, family, good food, our faith, and this platform.”
Bundled up in a cropped brown seater and a cargo mini skirt, Hanna posed for photos outdoors next to sister Haley, who wore a brown and white jacket and a knit skirt.
Elsewhere in the Instagram slideshow, the 22-year-old sisters showed off the spread of their family’s feast.
New beginnings are something Haley and Hanna have to be thankful for this year.
In April, the sisters announced the conclusion of their college basketball careers, looking to pursue endeavors outside of the sport.
Six months later, however, Haley changed course and revealed she’s returning to the court.
“See you next season, #year5,” she captioned a highlight video on Instagram in October.
Haley committed to TCU earlier this month and will be eligible for the 2024-25 season.
The 5-foot-6 guard, who averaged 12 points with the Hurricanes last season, said in August how she and Hanna had differing views about their futures in basketball.
“We got in a fight, if you really want to know the tea, and I was like ‘Hanna, I’m going back,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not going back, I’m not doing it anymore,’” Haley said on their “Twin Talk” podcast at the time.
“We made it to the Elite 8, that was Hanna and I’s goal. Hanna didn’t want to play, so she made me quit basketball.”
Outside of athletics, the Cavinders have partnerships with Champs Sports and Victoria’s Secret.
