The Cleveland Cavaliers are starting to look like the team that finished as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference last season with its full complement of players.
The Cavs have won four of their last five games, with the lone hiccup coming in a surprising home loss to the Trail Blazers.
Beside that, Cleveland has picked up three home victories over Toronto, Atlanta and Orlando to improve to 12-9 on the season.
(8 p.m. ET.)
Tonight, the Cavaliers travel to South Florida to visit the Miami Heat, who also own a 12-9 mark.
Since winning nine of 10 games to start November, the Heat have stubbed their toe with losses in four of the past six contests.
Granted, Miami is coming off a win in its last game at Toronto — a 112-103 victory as 3.5-point underdogs. However, the Heat have played without center Bam Adebayo the last two games, who is expected to sit out again tonight with a hip injury.
Cleveland is playing with revenge in mind after getting blown out at home by Miami, 129-96, right before Thanksgiving.
Donovan Mitchell didn’t suit up that night for the Cavs, who allowed the Heat to knock down 20 three-pointers in the win.
The Heat have covered the spread only twice in eight home games this season, while being listed as a home underdog for just the second time.
Let’s back the Cavaliers here as a short road favorite to cover tonight against the Heat.
